Well, we are finishing the semester and this maybe it’s the last post in this blog.

Today I will write about my experience using blog in the English class. First of all, I think writing the blog was a nice experience; on the other hand, it was a good chance to practicing writing, because the teacher check the posts; and sometimes, when I was writing the post I have fun doing it xD, and other times was not fun because sometimes it’s difficult to think about what to write and develop an idea.

Maybe, I don’t have a perfect writing, but after doing the posts, I’m more confidence, because I can write without searching at the internet how to do it, and my vocabulary it’s more wide now. I like to include in the future, some more interaction between de students, not only the posts, maybe chat online in the presence of teacher to improve at writing. And I would like to write about anime, my cat, series, manga, asian culture, Idols, music and all the stuff I like or funny things. But well, I liked to write the posts in general, and I don’t know if I will continue doing it.

Hello! When I think about my future, sometimes I imagined me working in another country. Well I made fun of this, because I said always, that I will work like Enologist in Korea or Japan. But the true is that I want to live there not only for a few months. The culture is so awesome in these countries (Korea and Japan), the food is so different from Chile, and they use a lot of fish and vegetables.

The cities are technological, the places are so diverse; like cat cafés in Korea and Japan, where you can drink a cup of coffee, while you pet a cat; or Akihabara in Japan, the Idol city where you can find a lot of Idol and anime stuff. The temples are so pretty, the legends are so fantastic too. I will love to live there and meet people but I have to learn Korean and Japanese, because they are not good in English. These countries are lacking and don't recognized in the area of Enology, but I don’t care!

Yeast Mannoproteins

Hello!

Today, I'm going to write about an article called ''Mannoproteins - How are they used in winemaking?''. We found the mannoproteins in cell walls of yeasts, the link between mannoses (main component of mannoproteins) form the structure of this protein; Mannoproteins are released during yeast alcoholic fermentation and during yeast autolysis. The mannoproteins are very important to winemaking, because they have beneficial properties to wine; like tartrate stabilization, color stabilization, protein haze and mouthfeel characteristics.

Why this article is helpful? It’s helpful because talk about the importance of mannoproteins in tartrate stabilization; if we not stabilized the wine, it will appear crystals, a visual defect in wine. So thanks to mannoproteins what inhibited the formation of crystal nuclei, preventing the crystal formation, we can skip cold stabilization (sensory impacts are avoided).

Currently, the mannoproteins are my theme in thesis for MS, so they are very important to me and to the winemaking industry, because they have a lot of beneficial effects to wine, not only the effects quoted here.

Hi! Today I will write about films; I don't have a favourite film genre, because I like the movie if it's fun to watch or make me burst with emotion, but I prefer watching series. About a favourite actor/actress, I have some like Helena Bonham Carter, Katheryn WinnickSarah Paulson,… But I like them more for the character they play. For example Helena Bonham Carter sometimes she play crazy women, but are strong women and her interpretation it’s awesome; Katheryn Winnick won my heart for her acting in Vikings, showing a side of this culture where women can be strong and be an equal with the rest of people, and she interpret perfectly the character of Lagertha; Sarah Paulson, I love her for American Horror Story Assylum and Coven, and she’s nice with fans.

My favourite film is Sunny (2011) it’s a movie from South Korea and shows a group of girls who call themselves ''Sunny'', the film alternates between two timelines: the present day where the women are middle-aged, and the 1980s when they were in high school. I love this film because made me remember about school and made me burst with emotion, it’s a cute and funny movie; I recommend it.

My cat

This picture was taken by me, when I was sitting in front of the computer. The photo shows my cat, she's 11 years older, so she's an old lady. Her name is ''Gorda'', because she's fluffy and her hair cause she looks fatty but she isn't fat, it's only her hair. Also she's a survivor, because my first cat (Her mom) was an inexperienced mom, so when she has her litter, she to protect her kittens move them to another place; but the place she chose was a box with tools and wire-cables. For this reason, many kittens died and my ''Gorda'' was the only one who left with live.

I like this photo because she looks beautiful and I love her a lot. How I say before, the photo was taken when I was at the computer, because she always want to be in front of me or sleep on top of me; so when this happen I take the chance to take her a lot of pictures and cuddle with her, but only for a little time because she is grumpy, so she get angry and scratch me.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand: A wide-angle view of fragile Earth

In the video Yann Arthus-Bertrand shows us pictures in the world. Where you can see the damage caused by humans; first he shows us a sand oil in Alberta where the extractions of oil are working 24/7, and says us that we are needing more than 3 times in a year as the oil we can find, also shows about corals that they will wipe out by a 100% at 2015, this will affect the biodiversity in the ocean; and in a different place he shows another pictures from North Pole and Kilimanjaro mountain, he tell us that the ice are melting from 1960. In general in this part he talk about the damage we are causing to the earth. In the second part of his presentation; he shows us the project 6 billion others, where people all around the world was interview about life and for finish the presentation he show us the trailer of his movie named it HOME.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand presentation is very touching, because he shows us pictures about Earth and made us watch the emotions of people about life; so he tried to make aware us about our own emotions and do something about what are we doing right now in our HOME, where we are living and make a change in our stay in this HOME.

The population of Chile

Chile is located in South America and they have actually like 17 million of person, but 100 years before (1910) was a different situation; the population was around 3 million people. From 1910 to 1930  the population slightly increased to 4 million, but from 1970 at the end of the century the population start to rise from 8,5 million to 14 million; reaching 16 million of people (2012). Staticians set the population of Chile in 17 million because the measurement wasn't representative. In a comparative with our neighbor Argentina, they in 1910 have approximately 1,5 million of people, and at the beginning of the new century they dramatically reach to 36 million; actually Argentina have about 40 million of people. Maybe this increase in the population of Argentina is for a wave of inmigration from 1850 to 1950.

Chile with a comparative about the world population it's almost the same; first the population slowly increase (this can be explained for world war I and II) and later (1960) rapidly increased to peak an estimated number of 7.155 billion. If Chile keep doing a good work in health politic, and worry about environment health, the population in Chile to 2050 it's estimated around 20 million.
